Meet Dr. Christine Silverstein

Dr. Christine M. Silverstein is a graduate of the Leadership Program for Nurse Executives and Nurse Educators at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) and was inducted into the Nursing Hall of Fame. She holds a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from Long Island University and is a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. As an RN, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The City College of New York (summa cum laude).

For over 25 years, as an entrepreneur and director at The Summit Center for Ideal Performance in Oakland NJ, conveniently located 20 miles west of NYC, she has worked online and in-office to assist clients of all ages to reach their ideal performances in health, wellness, athletics, business, education, and performing arts.

As a professional member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Dr. Silverstein is skilled at using hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. Her specialty is in educating children, teens, and young adults to win in life by using Mindful Toughness® skill sets that include Self-Hypnosis, Breathing Easy, Mental Rehearsal, Mental Recall, Positive Self-Talk, and Feedback Loop Analysis to aid them in building resilience in today’s world. These skill sets are portable from one situation to another and are easily learned and used throughout a lifetime.

Dr. Silverstein is a published historian and researcher who has written extensively on the history of psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, and nursing science development. In addition, she has lectured globally on peak performance for sports improvement, holistic healing from surgery, and the secrets of how to access the subconscious mind for success. As seen on TV on LIVE NOW at FOX, PA LIVE, and as heard as a radio guest  on WABC Radio, NY, with Ernie Anastos on his show Positively Ernie and on Quiet On The Set on KNX radio in Hollywood, she has spoken on such subjects as how parents can help teens after gun violence, how parents can protect children from childhood sexual abuse, and how to improve children’s attention span through social media.

As  a best-selling author, Dr. Silverstein is a  contributing author  to  the book, Peak Performance: Mindset Tools For Business and is the author of her book, Wrestling Through Adversity:  Empowering Children, Teens, & Young Adults to Win in Life.
